Snow Removal Equipment Use Guide

This guide briefly overviews equipment that may be used in snow removal operations. They illustrate the standardized fleet used by East Coast Facilities, Inc. You will note that our contractor network might utilize similar equipment.

Supervisor Plow Truck w/Salting Capability F-350 Series
This unit would primarily be used for plowing support around the employee parking lots, general supervision, and salting duties.
Plow Truck w/Salting Capability F-550 Series
This unit would primarily be used for plowing support around the employee parking lots, general supervision, and salting duties. Since this truck is larger, it can also serve to support plowing roads and assist in dock areas.
Medium Duty Plow Truck w/Salting Capability F-650 Series
This unit would primarily be used for plowing support around the employee parking lots, general supervision, and salting duties. Since this truck is larger, it can also serve to support plowing roads and assist in dock areas.

Supervisor Plow Truck w/Liquid Capability F-350 Series
This unit is similar in application to the F-350 listed above, except it has liquid capabilities. Liquid is used for anti-icing and de-icing operations.
Plow Truck w/Liquid Capability F-550 Series
This unit is similar in application to the F-550 listed above, except it has liquid capabilities. Liquid is used for anti-icing and de-icing operations.
2800 LB SKID LOADER CASE SV280 w/Wing Plow
The side loader is versatile. It can be used in tight areas such as employee lots, jockey ramps, and dock areas, and if it is well equipped with a wing plow, as illustrated, it can assist in plowing larger lanes and roads. It is a powerful machine. It is often used to clean curbs at the end of a storm.
14,000 LB COMPACT WHEEL LOADER CASE 321F w/Wing Plow
Compact wheel loaders are 14,000-pound machines. They are less than half the size of a heavy-wheel loader. They are great machines for large employee lots and can keep up with roads and lanes. The unit in this picture is connected to a wing plow.
28,000 LB HEAVY WHEEL LOADER 621G w/16' Box
A heavy wheel loader with a 16-18' box is the staple of snow removal for large sites. This unit is designed to move snow to a specific loading zone over longer distances. This is a 28,000-pound machine.
28,000 LB HEAVY WHEEL LOADER 621G  w/22' Wing Plow
Adding a wing plow to a heavy wheel loader adds significant versatility because the machine can plow snow using angles to roll snow quickly and convert to a traditional box to cart snow to loading zones. The attachment costs almost triple what a standard box costs.
40,000 LB HEAVY WHEEL LOADER 821G w/30' Wing Plow
The 821 heavy wheel loader is a 40,000-pound machine. This unit has a 30' wing plow with a van wing option. This machine can plow more than twice the snow that a standard 621G with a 16' box can. The van wing allows for quick and efficient cleaning under the kingpins of the trailers to allow jockeys to access them without difficulty or risk of ice buildup.
    BOSS SNOWRATOR SIDEWALK SYSTEM
Sidewalk plowing systems are designed to plow snow. These machines are engineered to plow snow efficiently and spread ice melt on sidewalks.
    SPECIALTY VAN WING PLOWS
Van wing plows are specialized. They allow the snow team to clear under the 5th wheel of docked trailers quickly. Without this attachment available on large sites with high dock density, operations can become paralyzed in large storms because trailer jockeys and rigs cannot access trailers and keep the distribution or fulfillment center moving.
    3.5 TON CERES SALTING SYSTEM
The CERES Salting System is a custom attachment designed and manufactured by East Coast Facilities, Inc. This attachment allows our wheel loaders to be utilized as salting assets in addition to plowing assignments. The CERES innovation reduces capex and costs to our clients.
    Truc-Brush Attachment
The Truc-Brush attachment is used to clear trailer rooftops when a roof scraper is not onsite or available.
    135 Ton Snow Melters
135-ton snow melters can be hauled over the road to sites as needed. These units are used where onsite snow-loading zones have reached capacity. Melting snow is the last option, not the first option. They are often used in urban environments where off-site trucking snow is not viable.
